I used the internet to download an unconditioned amount of music from the Napster, Limewire, and Kazaa websites. I never mind nearly it being illegal until Napster was sued in 1999. Napster was sued by the record effort Association of America. The R.I.A.A. said on Tuesday (Dec. 7) that it has filed a font against the exercisers of the M P3-trading computer program Napster, accusing them of operating a haven for music plagiarization on an unprecedented scale (Hiatt). The website was allowing its members to illegally tract files with one another. At the time, I thought Napster was the greatest thing out there and I was completely outraged when the R.I.A.A. filed the lawsuit.
